Andrew Saporito

Executive Director/CEO South Jersey Port Corporation

Andrew Saporito is the Executive Director/CEO of the South Jersey Port Corporation. He joined the South Jersey Port Corporation in 2019 after a 37-year career at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Saporito began his career at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 1981. He joined the Authority’s Port Department in 1986 and held management positions in port sales, leasing, and facility operations and management. In 2002, he was named General Manager of the New Jersey Marine Terminals, managing the operations, maintenance, construction, security, environmental and tenant service activities for the 2,400-acre port complex. Mr. Saporito became Assistant Director of Business Development in 2012, where he was responsible for leasing and property development, marketing and trade development, and the finance functions of the Port Department and was ultimately promoted to Deputy Director of the Agency’s Port Department in 2015.

Since joining the South Jersey Port Corporation in 2019 Andy has spearheaded the strategic expansion of the corporation's capacity to meet evolving supply chain demands. With a keen eye for organizational development, he has cultivated a robust leadership team, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency. Under his guidance, SJPC is making significant capital improvements, modernizing infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operations. Moreover, Mr. Saporito has been a driving force behind the integration of sustainable practices, ensuring that environmental stewardship remains a core priority in the corporation's growth trajectory. Through his visionary leadership, SJPC continues to emerge as a leading player in the realm of maritime logistics and global supply chain. 

Mr. Saporito is a member of the Board of Directors of the Maritime Exchange of the Delaware River, The Southern Jersey Development Council, and The American Metals Supply Institute. Mr. Saporito is also a member and past President of the Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey.

He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from Niagara University.
