AI in Maritime Workshop

Tuesday 13 May 2025, 13:00 – 16:00

AI is increasingly transforming logistics across industries, but its application in specialized breakbulk and project cargo remains underexplored. This interactive session, brought to you in partnership with the University of Houston, demystifies AI by showcasing practical, real-world applications in transport engineering, vessel operations, and supply chain tracking specifically tailored to the breakbulk sector. Discover how forward-thinking companies are leveraging AI technologies for efficiency gains, risk mitigation, and process automation while preserving the crucial human expertise that defines the industry.

This is a half-day workshop and includes lunch plus one networking coffee break.

Overview

This session features industry-leading companies sharing real-world case studies, with discussions led by Marco Poisler, University of Houston Bauer Human-Centered AI Institute Faculty Member & UTC Overseas COO, and featuring Margaret A. Kidd, Program Director and Instructional Associate Professor University of Houston, as session collaborator. Marco and Margaret will guide meaningful conversations around each presentation, drawing out key insights and encouraging participant engagement to maximize value for all attendees.

Hear case studies from AlbatrosDigital, Klippa, Toqua and Sea of Gravity.
