Mohamed Abdellahi Yaha is a prominent Mauritanian businessman, founder in 1990 of a
diversified group that plays a key role in the country's economy. The group initially benefited
from financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB), supporting its early
development. It has since established key international partnerships, including a 30-year
exclusive representation of Yamaha Motor in Mauritania through MAY SARL, and a
collaboration with the French Saros group in the agri-food sector, leading to the creation of
MIP Frigo, a factory specializing in the processing of seafood products targeting European
and Japanese markets.
Through Maurilog, and in global partnership with the world leader in logistics DB Schenker,
the group plays a central role in major projects in West Africa, such as the GTA gas project.
