The world’s largest project cargo and breakbulk event

Richard Kaladji

Project Logistics Manager Air Liquide

Richard graduated with an MBA in international Business, he was not aiming to do logistics and far from being part of the construction of gas plants.

He started his career as an Importation and exportation clerk working for mid size companies.

In the late 90's, he joined TOTAL - Special Fluids as Export and Sales Coordinator in charge of managing order intake with Asia and the Middle East.
Later on, he internally moved to a new position as Marine Logistics Coordinator to manage the supply of liquid bulk products such as drilling fluids, transported in bulk vessels, Iso tanks or drums to supply worldwide clients including offshore rigs.

In the early 2000, he decided to take a new challenge with the EPC world and joined the Air Liquide E&C division.
He started as Project Logistics Coordinator but was quickly promoted to the position of  Project Logistics Manager and so to manage a team of coordinators on projects, throughout the world.
At that time his task was to elaborate the logistics strategies and to manage the deliveries, including oversized cargo, for Natural Gas Liquefaction units and Oxygen plants in Northern Russia, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Later, he replaced his all time manager at the Head E&C logistics FR Department.
Besides his managerial HR functions, he was in charge of the feasibility studies for the transportation of very large and over dimensions cargo, for the Total budget estimations and the logistics manhours.  However, he kept a foot on operations by supervising large and complex transportation.

He is now, since 2019, Europe Logistics Referent, which is a position without HR managerial aspects, and focusing on what I do best, studying and managing complex oversize cargo operations.
Besides his operational and projects activities, he is in charge of developing our ERP and so to enhance our multi center engineering organization and the material management raceability for the construction site.
