Patrick Richardson FCILT commenced his career in shipping in London in 1972, building a solid foundation in international transport, and global operations during a period of rapid change in world trade.

In 1977 his professional journey continued to southern Africa, where he entered the project logistics management sector, covering South Africa as well as Malawi. Continuing his international career in 1982 in New York, working within one of the world’s busiest commercial centres, handling heavylift and project work as well as involvement in the US AID programme for Zimbabwe. Remaining in the projects and heavylift sector, he returned to London between 1989 to 2004.

The journey continued in the Middle East and India, permitting involvement in major projects in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and India. Last stop in 2020 was again back to the United Kingdom and working for a growing Swiss project forwarder, developing business globally

Across more than five decades, his career has reflected adaptability, leadership, and deep industry knowledge, shaped by experience across multiple continents and diverse commercial environments.
