Nordenham is the ideal seaport for various types of cargo: at the city port, dry bulk goods such as construction materials, coal, and coke, as well as forest products, liquid cargo, and project cargo, are handled. The port has proven particularly valuable in the field of subsea cable logistics and other offshore activities. The Blexen terminal features a combined bulk and RoRo handling facility, where non-ferrous metal concentrates and aircraft fuselage sections from nearby production sites are also loaded. The port area also serves as a supply and distribution hub for local industries and offers additional development opportunities for port-related businesses. With its excellent trimodal connections to the national road and rail networks and via waterways to the German Bight, Nordenham ensures fast access to the North Sea and the European hinterland.
