- Ports & Terminals
The Port of Strasbourg is the second-largest inland port in France. With traffic volumes comparable to those of some seaports, it serves as a genuine maritime gateway for the Grand Est region. A wholly owned subsidiary of the Port of Strasbourg, Rhine Europe Terminals (RET) operates the port terminals and develops cargo-handling activities. Located along the Rhine corridor, its terminals benefit from direct inland waterway and rail connections to major seaports such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Zeebrugge, as well as to several French logistics hubs, notably Le Havre, Lyon, and Marseille-Fos.
