The tide-independent Port of Stade is located directly on the Elbe shipping channel, between Hamburg and the Elbe estuary. A key advantage of this high-performance industrial port is the diverse range of companies based on site. Customers benefit from short distances to a variety of port service providers – including mooring services, handling of general and bulk cargo, customs clearance, in-port transport, and hazardous goods logistics. The southern part of the port offers optimal conditions for handling liquid and gaseous raw materials, while the northern quay is used for loading bauxite, aluminum hydroxide, and aluminum oxide. The Port of Stade also offers attractive growth potential – including plans for a new multifunctional terminal with rail access, to be developed as an extension of the northern quay.
