- Ports & Terminals
The Port Authority of Las Palmas, a public body under the Spanish Government, manages the five ports that make up Puertos de Las Palmas, located across three islands of the Canary archipelago: Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote. These ports form the main port infrastructure in the Canary Islands and are among the most important within both the Spanish and European Union port systems. The Canary Islands are geographically located in West Africa, off the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
The Port of Las Palmas serves as a natural crossroads between Europe, Africa and the Americas, making it a key logistics hub for global trade with a particular focus on the Americas, Africa, and Europe. We operate under European legal framework that ensures security and transparency. Plus, we benefit from the specific tax and customs advantages of the Canary Islands’ Economic and Fiscal Regime, which includes, among other incentives, a 4% corporate tax rate compared to 25% in the rest of Spain.
