SARC Equips More Vessels With Its Loading Software

LOCOPIAS Provides Real-Time Solutions for Safe Cargo Operations

Maritime technology company SARC has announced that seven more vessels have been equipped with its advanced onboard cargo loading software, LOCOPIAS.

According to SARC, LOCOPIAS is derived from its PIAS (Programs for the Integral Approach of Ship Design) software, and uses the same technology to achieve optimum loading within the limits for strength, stability and draft. This ensures maximum safety of the vessel, the crew, the environment and the payload or passengers.

Among the latest vessels equipped with the software was Alexia, a 150-meter general cargo vessel built for Wagenborg by a Dutch shipbuilder and designed by a Dutch firm. Others include the general cargo ships Aeroe, Amadeus Ruby, Amadeus Saffier, Marit and Myrte, and the inland waterway tanker, Maxy.

Netherlands-based SARC has now delivered the software to more than 1,500 vessels.

“By implementing LOCOPIAS, these ships can operate with greater precision, improved fuel efficiency, and full compliance with maritime regulations. Our software ensures optimal load distribution, reducing operational costs and environmental impact,” the company said in a statement.

“We are proud to support the maritime industry with innovative solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.”

SARC is a first-time exhibitor at Breakbulk Europe. This year’s event is taking place on 13-15 May at Rotterdam Ahoy. You can meet the SARC team at Stand 1C52.
