The Women in Breakbulk program at Breakbulk Europe 2025 is designed to support and celebrate women in the project cargo and breakbulk industry. Thanks to feedback from participants at Breakbulk Europe and Americas, we’ve expanded the program to include an evening activity and a lounge on the show floor, along with the breakfast. The schedule has been created for visitors, shippers and exhibitors alike.
This program is by women, for women—created by those who understand the challenges and opportunities of working across sectors, and who may still find themselves to be the only woman in “the room” – whether that’s a ship, a jobsite or an actual conference room. From those just starting out to established leaders, you’ll find a welcoming community of peers from around the world.
At Women in Breakbulk, networking comes first. We know how important it is to feel supported, share insights and form connections. By joining this year’s program, you’ll become part of a community that feels like family. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected future for women in breakbulk.

Where: Rotterdam Ahoy, Second Level
Includes breakfast with coffee and tea bar, keynote, organized networking activity and raffle. Includes access to the Women in Breakbulk Lounge on the show floor throughout the event.

VIP Women in Breakbulk Boat Tour & Dinner
When: Wednesday, 14 May from 18:30 – 21:30
Where: Aboard Port of Rotterdam’s Nieuwe Maze
Embark on an evening cruise on the river Nieuwe Maas aboard the Nieuwe Maze, a 30-foot luxury vessel used by the Port of Rotterdam for national and international business associates, guests and dignitaries. On Wednesday evening it will be used exclusively for Women in Breakbulk members, offering an all-female experience with a walking dinner, drinks and plenty of casual networking.
Proceeds from the cruise will be donated to Jarige Job. Each cruise ticket will fund birthday boxes for two children in the Netherlands.

Women in Breakbulk Lounge
An exclusive space on the exhibition floor to enjoy a relaxing break, meet with colleagues and prospects, and refuel with light refreshments. Join members for a champagne toast at the start of the Welcome Reception on Tuesday evening. Lunch will be served on Wednesday and Thursday.

Interactive Session: Everyday Moves That Matter
From missed credit to being talked over, the challenges women face at work aren’t always dramatic, but they add up. This year’s program features Smart Moves, a fast-paced original role-playing game that lets you practice handling those moments through realistic scenarios and paired discussion. You’ll build confidence, explore new strategies, and leave with a wonderful group of new connections.
