Topics Description

Your Zero Carbon Journey: Strategies, Struggles and Advice for Others in the Same Boat

Reducing CO2 emissions plays a critical part in addressing climate change. For the shipping sector, The European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) came into effect from 1 January 2024, with phased-in targets to follow. How are you implementing EU ETS within your company and how can we all encourage faster progress?

Meeting and Beating Capacity Challenges: Innovation and Strategies

Capacity challenges are not easily overcome – today’s problems and solutions are constantly changing according to the current geo-political situation. How can the breakbulk sector ensure capacity is always available when needed?

Creating an Inclusive Culture in the Workplace

Research shows that a diverse and inclusive workplace offers myriad benefits for both employees and businesses. Leaders who push everyone on their team – regardless of background – to be their best and feel they belong, are more likely to attract and retain motivated and loyal employees, plus boost creativity and bring new ideas to the table (or boardroom). How can we foster an inclusive culture and set everyone up for success?

Career Enhancement: Retaining and Advancing Existing Talent

There is much talk of the ‘talent gap’ and recruiting the next generation, but what about the potential already within your company? Is there room for existing talent to thrive within the business? Career development and job satisfaction could be key to plugging some of these ‘gaps’.

Is the Breakbulk Sector Doing Enough to Support Energy Transition?

With a looming bottleneck in capacity as early as 2026, action needs to be taken now to meet the ambitious projects of the energy transition industry – and tackle climate change. Can breakbulk and logistics stakeholders do more to support this?
