Located at the northern tip of the Adriatic Sea, the Port of Koper is Slovenia's only commercial seaport and one of Europe's most strategically important maritime gateways. From this unique geographical location, the port acts as a vital link between the Mediterranean maritime world and the industrial and commercial heart of the continent—directly connecting Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and Far Eastern markets with the entire Central, Eastern, and Southeastern region of Europe in a single, continuous journey. The port operates 12 dedicated terminals, handling a diverse range of cargo: containers, automobiles and Ro-Ro cargo, dry bulk cargo, liquid cargo, general & project cargo and refrigerated cargo.
