PORT DE BARCELONA

Stand: 2C50
  • Ports & Terminals

The Port of Barcelona is a leading logistics hub in the Mediterranean, with excellent multimodal connections to the main industrial regions of Europe. With over 35 specialised terminals and the most advanced Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) in southern Europe, the port handles all types of cargo—containers, vehicles, bulk, Ro-Ro, and project cargo—with maximum efficiency.

Barcelona has solid expertise in handling special and breakbulk cargo, handling everything from steel products and railway equipment to transformers, heavy machinery, modular structures, and yachts. Its terminals are equipped with high-capacity cranes, ample storage spaces, and experienced teams that ensure efficient handling of complex project-cargo shipments. In particular, the vehicle terminals, serving major car-carrier operators, play a key role in managing rolling breakbulk and project cargo, including heavy and oversized machinery.

Ongoing investments, including the major southern expansion, strengthen Barcelona’s role as a strategic hub and create new opportunities, as the construction of large infrastructures is expected to attract industrial projects and drive demand for breakbulk and heavy cargo.
