The Liepaja Special Economic Zone (LSEZ) is among top free zones in the Baltics, recognized by international industry players. The Liepaja SEZ Authority has developed a number of initiatives, dedicated to all investors. The Port of Liepaja is the 3rd largest multi-functional seaport in Latvia.
The Port of Liepaja, which is part of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone, remains ice-free throughout the year. The port operating companies are capable of servicing Panamax-type vessels with the draft of up to 13.2 m and the length of 240 m. There are 14 experienced stevedoring companies in the Port of Liepaja, providing logistic, forwarding, ship agency and other cargo transshipment related services
