Chartering Broker BBC Chartering

In Jordan's job as a chartering broker at BBC Chartering, he works on project cargo, transportation and customer relationships. These are across a wide range of industries and global trade routes.

Jordan joined BBC Chartering in August 2022 as a Trainee Shipping Merchant, and completed his vocational training in 2024. In July 2025, he graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in business administration, and moved into his current role as a Chartering Broker. Alongside his job, he is currently pursuing a part-time master’s degree in advanced management at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer.

What he enjoys most about this industry is its international character. On any given day, he might be speaking with customers, brokers, and partners from different parts of the world or working together to find solutions for complex transportation projects. No two projects are the same, which makes the work both challenging and interesting.

Having recently made the transition from trainee and student to a full-time commercial role, Jordan can relate to many of the questions young people have when considering a career in our industry.
