Claudia Beumer
Owner & Director C4 fuel
With an educational background in Chemical Engineering and a proven track record in the bunkering industry, Claudia has a wide experience on both conventional and alternative fuels. From her first role on selling Mass Flow Meters (MFM), throughout her position in Wartsila Gas Solutions and the commercial leadership for a barge operator, bunkering has always been at the core of all her activities.
All that experience in different aspects of the bunkering industry and the continuous focus on alternative fuels, came together in December 2023 in her own company; C4 fuel.
C4 fuel was established to support maritime stakeholders in better understanding and embracing the changes in the maritime industry from both a technical and commercial perspective. In addition, Claudia represents SGMF as Membership and Communications Manager.
Claudia has always been active in several associations, from SGMF at the start of her maritime career, to the NEN working group (methanol bunkering standard) and since April 2023, also as a board member for IBIA (The International Bunker Industry Association), for which she was recently re-elected. Within IBIA, she also acts as the Chair of the Bunkerlicense and MFM Working Group and as a member of the Future Fuels Working Group.
2026 Event Agenda Sessions
The maritime energy transition comes at a time where digitalisation, increasing demand for transparency and a complex maze of regulations are having a huge impact on the bunkering industry. How will all of those changes impact the bunkering industry as we know it and how does the bunkering industry 2.0 look like? How can stakeholders work together to make the transition as smooth as possible to futureproof our industry?
Who is this workshop for? Everyone who has a stake in fuel buying, fuel selling or who just wants to know better how the maritime energy transition will change the bunkering industry and what role you can play in this.
Tuesday 16 June 15:00 - 15:45 Women in Breakbulk Lounge

Future Fuels and Fleet Strategy: What Comes Next?
This session explores the competing future fuel pathways facing shipping – from low-sulphur fuels and LNG to methanol, ammonia and hydrogen – and why no single solution is yet dominant. It examines how scale, regulation and infrastructure are shaping choices, and what ports, carriers and shippers can realistically prepare for now across infrastructure, safety, cost and fleet strategy while long-term uncertainty remains.
