Arno Obbink

Founder & Co-owner Obbink Maritime

Arno Obbink is the founder and co-owner of Obbink Maritime. After Nautical College in Rotterdam, his career started as “Maritime Officer” on board tug boats and supply vessels and later on board cargo vessels. After a decade he made a career move to port related cargo operations and after this a switch to hydrographic surveying and ship borne safety training and consultation. Next to that followed a period of 11 years working for an independent surveying company in the dredging and offshore industry, professionalising in amongst others on and off hire surveys, warranty surveys, IMCA inspections, heavy cargo inspections and repair cost calculations. Finally in 2021 it was “time for Obbink Maritime” and he started his own company specialising in fleet management, superintendency in combination with the above mentioned surveys and inspections. All this provides Arno with a full lifetime of experience in the maritime industry.
