Power Up! About This Year's Women in Breakbulk Programme

Women in Breakbulk at Breakbulk Europe 2026 brings energy to the industry by focusing on how women fuel progress, projects and teams across project cargo and breakbulk. The programme includes a dedicated breakfast and a Women in Breakbulk lounge on the show floor, creating spaces to connect, exchange ideas and recharge during the event. All activities are open to visitors, shippers and exhibitors.

This programme is by women, for women, shaped by those who understand both the opportunities and the realities of working across global projects and heavy industry. Many participants know what it's like to be the only woman in the room, whether that room is a ship, a jobsite or a boardroom. From early-career professionals to senior leaders, Women in Breakbulk brings together a global community with shared experience.

Connection comes first. Women in Breakbulk is built around conversation and mutual support. By taking part in the 2026 programme, you'll join a network of women who share insight, encouragement, practical perspectives and an enthusiasm for making new connections that will last long beyond this year's event.

Keynote: Sustaining High Performance Under Pressure: The Science of Personal Energy

What happens in your brain and body when you lose focus, feel exhausted, or hit “brain fog” during high-stakes work? Unlike cargo ships running on bunker fuel, humans run on something far more complex, but more trainable. Join Vivien Puppa Kocsis, award-winning Harvard-educated scientist and Guinness World Record endurance athlete, for a science-backed look at how high-performing women sustain energy under pressure. Featuring a live brainwave demo, this session explores the physiological factors and practical advice that help women maintain energy in demanding environments.

The maritime energy transition comes at a time where digitalisation, increasing demand for transparency and a complex maze of regulations are having a huge impact on the bunkering industry. How can stakeholders work together to make the transition as smooth as possible to futureproof our industry?

Workshop: The Power of NO

Non-promotable work keeps organizations running but too often, it keeps women stuck. From note-taking to behind-the-scenes coordination, these low-visibility tasks quietly drain time, energy, and advancement opportunities.

This session invites a powerful shift. You’ll learn to recognize what truly moves your career forward, set clear boundaries without guilt, and step into more strategic, visible contributions. We’ll also explore how leaders can create more equitable team dynamics, where responsibility is shared, and talent is fully seen.

You’ll leave with practical language, mindset shifts, and a renewed sense of ownership over your time, your value, and your next level.
