Jason Williams

Global Supply Chain Lead McDermott International Inc.

Jason Williams is currently a Senior Director and Global Lead of Supply Chain Management (SCM) for McDermott International. McDermott is a fully-integrated provider of engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry. Jason manages a team of circa 900No. Supply Chain professionals globally and is overall responsible for the Supply Chain effort in our home office, fabrication facilities and project sites. Jason is based in the Hague, Netherlands.   

Jason has over twenty two years of experience in Supply Chain Management in an EPC  environment. Over this time he has gained significant site and home office experience managing the procurement, subcontracting and logistics effort utilizing a variety contractual formats and pricing strategies. After spending more than 10 years at Fluor he joined CB&I in 2015, and has held professional and management roles in all areas of Supply Chain, including: procurement, subcontracting, purchasing, expediting, inspection, logistics and material management. In 2018, after the business combination of McDermott and CB&I, Jason transitioned into the role of Supply Chain Management team lead for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  

In November 2021 Jason progressed into the global lead of Supply Chain at McDermott. Jason continues to use his leadership ability to influence and support all our global supply chain seizing the opportunity of our project award successes and spending power to leverage the value Supply Chain can bring to project profitability. Forging a resilient and sustainable Supply Chain environment Jason focusses to provide guaranteed supply of goods and services to support execution excellence and differentiated supply chain solutions on our projects at McDermott.

Frameworks and requirements continue to be developed and implemented, however tensions between different criteria have led to a lack of ‘best-practice’ guidelines and standards in monitoring and disclosure This session will bring together industry experts and regulatory bodies to tackle the big questions, summarising key areas of focus from reporting to accountability and helping everyone understand what ESG means for them and how they can begin making their mark.
