Henriette Dybkær has quite an unusual background for being in shipping – she has a degree from Accademia delle Belle Arti (the Italian Art Academy) and she is also a Marketing Economist. She has worked within strategic partnerships and networking throughout her entire career – first in Arts & Culture as a consultant on cultural sponsorships and as Sponsor Manager at the Contemporary Art Museum ARKEN, 10 years ago.
Henriette started from scratch in the maritime sector, where she has been primus motor in various steering committees (from Marine HR, Maritime Law to Cyber Security) and topical networks. She consider herself as an expert in being a generalist!
At BIMCO, she is in charge of all their networks, including their newly establish ESG network. She arranges, conducts and hosts a free weekly webinar concept called BIMCO 15+15 (a kind of maritime TED Talk), where they cover a broad range of shipping topics, inviting in speakers from around the globe to share their signature talk or expert topic.
ESG initiatives are now a critical aspect of any organisation’s business model. Frameworks and requirements continue to be developed and implemented, however tensions between different criteria have led to a lack of ‘best-practice’ guidelines and standards in monitoring and disclosure This session will bring together industry experts and regulatory bodies to tackle the big questions, summarising key areas of focus from reporting to accountability and helping everyone understand what ESG means for them and how they can begin making their mark.
