Egbert Kooij has been working for the Port of Rotterdam since 2022 as a trainee. During this two-year program, he got to experience 3 departments within the company; he started at the Technical Systems department and studied a new way of maintenance for their patrol boats. He also got involved in the Fleet Renewal program. Currently, he is working on the commercial side and leading an investigation into the sustainability of maritime service providers (tugs, pilots, boatsman).
