Port-La Nouvelle is France’s 1st port to be privately managed, under a very innovative public-private governance. Located on the Mediterranean, a new infrastructure (16 m water depth) is under construction. The port will increase from 60 to 210 hectares. A total of 2,200 m of quays, 4 jetties for tankers and 100 hectares of land will boost the activities. An offshore wind turbine construction site has been set up and a hydrogen production plant will be built. Port-La Nouvelle will amplify its role within the Mediterranean while being a hub of the energy transition and heavy lifts.
