Oceanbird

Oceanbird provides wing power solutions – both wind assisted and wind propulsion – for the shipping industry. The company is a joint venture between Alfa Laval and Wallenius. Each wing sail will save around half a million-liter fuel (480,000 liter), equal to 3,000 barrels diesel a year. This represents 1,200 ton CO2 a year. The first vessel from the Oceanbird concept will sail in the end of 2025 of early 2026.
