Stéphane Berninet

Head of Project Cargo Division CMA CGM

Stéphane Berninet joined the ranks of the maritime industry in the early 1990s as an officer first class in the French Merchant Marine. He went on to study maritime law, graduating with a Master’s degree, then earning his MBA. Over the past two decades, he has worked in various operations and commercial senior management positions for CMA CGM. In early 2017, Berninet was entrusted with developing a dedicated project cargo division. He has put together a team of technical and commercial project shipping professionals who deliver best-in-class consulting, planning, budget and execution of ocean transportation for project cargoes – writing a new chapter in project cargo activity to stand beside CMA CGM’s core container business.
