After a couple of years activity in start-up-support, Jurjen co-founded RDM Makerspace in 2013, which transformed in 2019 into RDM Next. Based on their experience and rooted in their own projects, cooperations and companies they support other companies in their quest towards innovation.
They are biased towards opportunities offered by leveraging digital technologies, which grow exponentially. At RDM Next, they see four different areas where digitization will disrupt markets and products: 3D printing, robotics, AI/machine learning and IoT. That is why they set up different partnerships and foundations with leading organizations and launched their own companies in those fields: Internet of Things Academy, Ramlab, Cyber Central, Dent IoT, Captain AI and Mavisoft are examples of that.
Jouke and Jurjen from Rotterdam Makers District will discuss how they are working on a smart sustainable port in Rotterdam.
