Over the past decades, Jouke has put the former RDM shipyard on the international map as the place to be for innovation and new manufacturing. In the testing ground of RDM, he sees every day how new technologies are applied to important themes such as energy transition and circularity, and what this can mean for businesses and the port.
Jouke is also responsible for the concept development of the Merwe-Vierhavens area (M4H). Together with RDM, it forms the Rotterdam Makers District. The former city harbour in Rotterdam-West is undergoing a metamorphosis into a creative breeding ground for makers, with space for housing and workplaces.
Are you curious about the developments in the city harbour area, or are you looking for new talent or an innovation partner, do you want to have a protoype made or do you want to know what AI, robotisation, internet of things, 3d printing can mean for your company?
At Breakbulk Europe Jouke and Jurjen Lungkeek (of RDM Next) will tell you how they are working on a smart and sustainable port and will answer all your questions.
Do you have a question beforehand? Email JRJ.Goslinga@portofrotterdam.com if so.
Jouke and Jurjen from Rotterdam Makers District will discuss how they are working on a smart sustainable port in Rotterdam.
