Rahul Khanna is a qualified master mariner who spent 14 years at sea sailing on oil tankers and bulk carriers and moved ashore after sailing as a captain for two years. After completing an MSc in shipping trade and finance with distinction from Cass Business school in London, he worked nearly four years with a leading marine consultancy conducting casualty investigations and acting as expert witness in shipping arbitration cases. He joined Allianz in 2011 as a senior risk consultant and took over as global head of marine risk consulting in 2014. In his current role, he focuses on risk consulting strategy for the global marine business of AGCS and works with the executive team for portfolio steering of hull and cargo business.
