Having worked in the salvage business for seven years, Bernard witnessed first-hand the severe consequences shipping can have on the environment. So did the founders of GoodFuels in 2015. Since then, GoodFuels has become a pioneer, global market maker and market leader in truly sustainable biofuels. GoodFuel’s goal is to create a better world by accelerating the energy transition in these transport segments for which biofuels are one of the best or only viable alternatives in the foreseeable future. GoodFuels works closely with feedstock owners, technology developers, research institutes and universities, to bring innovations from lab to commercial application and together develop high-quality, sustainable, scalable and affordable biofuels. Bernard has been Commercial Manager for GoodFuels for over a year and is responsible for assisting shipowners on their journey towards biofuel trials and long-term implementation of biofuels in their fleets.
The environmental agenda is at the forefront of every stakeholder’s business strategy in the modern era, made even more pertinent by national and international governmental measures, such as IMO’s 2050 target. This session will explore future fuel sources for breakbulk and look at what else can be done to achieve emissions targets for all aspects of the breakbulk supply chain.
